How many watts will my computer use and can i use 2 power supplies?
Ok so this is my computer specs.
Pentium d 820
3 gb ram
250 gb hard drive
1 lightscribe DVD+RW drive
350 watt power supply
some stock hp mother board
I want a new graphics card to play Crysis and Gears of War and was thinking about an 8800 gt 512mb or up to 9800 gtx 512 mb to get. I also have a 175w power supply from an old computer that i was thinking about using to help power. Is that enough or would i have to buy a whole new power supply and about how big of one if i do? Also would i be able to play these games on pretty good settings with my current computer parts?
Answer:
To play this type of game you will have to upgrade your M/board and CPU plus video card
as a Pentium 800 is way out of date to play modern games you need at least a dual core CPU 2.5 ghz and a minimum 512mb video card
